Devizes Rugby Club are delighted to announce that Rory Brown has been appointed as 1st XV and Club Captain for the 2018/2019 season.

Brown has been an integral part of the 1st XV for the past 8 seasons and now has an opportunity to get the team back on track following a disappointing 8th placed finish last seaosn.  Rory said "I'm really looking forward to the challenge of being first team captain this season, with the aim of trying to improve on last season's results, but also creating a positive environment within the club. Hopefully we continue to bring up the young talent and get them playing the best possible level of senior rugby".

Brown who has amassed a more than 150 appearances for the 1st XV will work closely with the new as of yet undefined coaching team and 1st XV manager Matthew Holloran. 

Current sessions at the club in the off season include running around the town from 7pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with mixed touch rugby also taking place on Devizes green from 7pm on Wednesday evenings.

Further updates on pre season training will be announced in due course along with the coaching team for the 2018/2019 season.
